PASSPORT MELA on 8th May 2009 at 11.30 AM
JBIET is organizing a Passport Mela for its students & staff, in association with Postal Department, Govt. of India. This will be a two day mela with its first day on 8th May 2009. It will be held at M.N.R. auditorium at 11.30 AM. On First day all requisite information along with application form will be given to applicants They will be informed of the next date on which they need to submit filled form along with required testimonials. All students and staff are requested to take this opportunity as it helps to prevent hassle of going to passport office.
JBIET professors visit to DRDL Six professors of JBIET Namely Dr. Srinavasan Vathsal (HOD EEE), Dr. K..S. Sarma( Professor EEE), Dr. D.S. sarma (HOD BME), Dr. Laxmi Prakash( HOD Mech), Dr. B.L. Raju( HOD ECE) and Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya (HOD CSE), visited DRDL to explore possibilities of technical collaborations and consultancy services. JBIET presented a presentation and professors answered the queries related to technical aspects. DRDL has shown interest to take services of JBIET CSE Department, in the areas of Artificial Neural Network and Intelligent Image Processing & feature Retrieval. ALUMNI DAY 2009
Alumni Day for 2009 passing out students was organized on 30th April 2009. All Final year students assembled at lawns of JBIET after giving their final Exam at 6PM. Shri G. Bhulokam, Vice President CMC was guest of Honour for the function. Shri J.V. Krishna Rao, secretary JBES presided over the function. Shri Bhulokam advised students to upgrade their knowledge and assured them that their are enough jobs for deserving candidates. The Principal JBIET, Shri v.V. Rao addressed the gathering and called students to excell in the world outside JBIET. Sri . V. Krishnarao informed students about M.Tech / MBA courses at JBIET and invited them to join these couses while fighting out recession in job market. The gathering was addressed by various heads of department and outgoing students. It was followed by dinner. A year book with photos and details of all students of 2005-2009 batch is also released by Shri Bhulokam, on this occassion. ____________________________________________________________________________________ TechnoPie Guest Lecture By Dr V.S. K. Reddy   Dr. VSK Reddy, Director SNIST-WIGHAN Institute of Aeronautics and Technology delivered Technopie Guest Kecture organized by Technopie ( Student Activity organization of CSE/ IT / MCA Branch) on 25th April 2008. The topic of Gurest Lecture was " Video Communication Protocols" . It was attended my MCA students, Students of M.Tech of CSE/ Se/ VLSI and Faculty Members of CSE/ IT / ECE/ EEE branches. Later Dr. VSK Reddy discussed advanced research issues in the area of communication Engineering with the participants. Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya Chief Advisor TechnoPie and Head , CSE Department Honored Dr. VSK Reddy with a Shawl and Memento. _____________________________________________________________________________________ TePP at JBIET A two day” Technopreneur Promotion Programme 2009” was conducted on 4th & 5th of March at JBIET. The programme was sponsored by A P STATE COUNCIL OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY(APCOST) HYD. and Department of Science and Industrial Research , Govt. of India. Inaugurating the Programme on 4th March 2009, The Chief Guest Dr. Y. Venkata Rami Reddy, Chairman, AP Public Service Commission, advised the youth and participating technocrats to develop ideas to be successful entrepreneurs. The Guest of Honour of the Inaugural function Prof. Ch. Venkata Ramana Devi, Member Secretary APCOST, Govt. of AP. highlighted promotion programmes of APCOST for students and rural youth for developing self employable skills. In his presiding address Sri J. Bhaskar Rao Chairman JB educational society, who himself is a successful entrepreneur and promoter of JB group of institutions said that self confidence and commitment are basic skills for an entrepreneur. In valedictory session on 5th March 2009, The Chief Guest Sri AL Nageshwar Rao, General Manager, Andhra Bank said that present scenario is not bright for job market and the economy. He suggested students to pursue higher education for sometime and look for ventures with caution to start. The Secretary JB Educational Society, Shri J.V. Krishna Rao asked student to utilize knowledge and experience out of the TePP course in to practice. He congratulated organizers for successful completion of the programme. The two-day session dealt various issues of entrepreneurship like generation of ideas, continuous creativity, investments opportunities, screening of TePP Films by APCOST with an open forum by the participants. At the end of programme the ideas and creativity to start ventures were consolidated and presented by the participants.

Annual Day of JB Group of Institutions which comprises of two educational societies namely JB Educational Society and JBR Educational society was held with great joy and celeberation on 28th February 2009. There are seven participating institutions 1. JB Institute of Engineering & Technology ( 11th Anniversery) 2. Joginapally BR Engineering College (7th Anniversery) 3. Bhaskar Medical College (4th Anniversery) 4. Bhaskar Engineering College (2nd Anniversery) 5. Bhaskara Pharmacy College (2nd Anniversery) 6. Joginapally BR Pharmacy College ( 2nd anniversery) 7. M.N. Rao Women's Engineering College (1st Anniversery) The Vice Chancellor of JNT Hyderabad University Dr. D.N. Reddy graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He appreciated the infrastructure provided by all the institutions and spirit of service shown by both the educational societies. He called upon student fraternity to show their mantle in tough times. He was honoured and felicitated by Chairman of JB Educational Society and JBR Educational Society, Shri Bhaskar Rao. All the Principals, distinguished faculty members of participating institutions were felicitated by Dr. D.N. Reddy. On this occasion Gold Medals were awarded to meritorious students, who stood first in their respective courses. Prizes for cultural and sports events were also distributed. All the principals of participating institutions presented annual reports of their respective Institutions. Shri J. V. Krishnarao Secretary JB Educational Society graced the occasion and delivered his message. The function culminated in to a gala cultural show. This was presented by the students of all participating Institutes. An audience of over 5000 enjoyed the show. Later dinner was served to all.
INFOQUEST 2009 
JBIET along with IEEE Student Branch and other Technical Associations like ISTE, IETE and CSI organized INFOQUEST 2009, a National Level Technical Paper Symposium on 26th and 27th February 2009. Over 200 technical papers were presented by participants from various parts of India in the stream of Computer Science & IT, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Biotechnology and Biomedical, and Management Sciences. Inaugural function of Infoquerst 2009 was held on 26th February 2009. Dr, Niraj Upadhayaya HOD (CSE) delivered welcome address. The Chief Guest of The function , Dr. Lal Kishore , Rector, JNT Hyderabad University, lauded efforts of JBIET in organizing such event and described JBIET as one of the leading affiliated colleges of JNT Hyderabad University. Guest of Honour Sri Brahma Naidy Vella, COO, Rofous Software Private Limited, described the scenario at software Industry and stressed the need for better Industry- Academia co-operation. The function was presided by Shri J.V. Krishnarao Secretary JB Education Society. Principal JBIET Dr.V.V. Rao, Pricipal Bhaskar Engineering College Dr. N. Chalmaiya , Principal Bhaskar Pharmacy college Dr. A. Srinivas Rao and Director JBIET School of Management Dr. K. Srinivas addressed the gathering at this function. Dr. B.L. Raju , HOD (ECE) gave vote of thanks. After two days of paper presentation the Valedictory function with prize distribution ceremony was held on 27th February at 3.30 PM. The chief Guest for this function Dr. Krishna Nagrajan, CEO Couth Infotech Private Limited, gave a wonderful presentation comparing the movie " Slumdog Millionare" and the way to success for students. The guest of Honour Dr. Rama Krishna Sistla, Scientist , IICT , Hyderabad, Described the role of pharmacy in advanced scientific research. The function was presided by Shri. J.V. Krishnarao, Secretary JB Education Society, Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya. HOD (CSE) gave vote of Thanks.
TECHNOPIE Technopie an umbrella society for computer geeks of CSE/ CSIT and MCA of JBIET was inaugerated by Secretary JBES Shri J.V. Krishnaraoji on 13th Feruary 2009. Dr. Yousuf Mulge, Principal MNRao Women's Engineering College delivered Key note address. Principal JBIET Dr. V.V. Rao and HOD (CSE) JBIET, Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya adressed the gathering as well. Technopie will be conducting weekly programme for the benefit of Students. Ch Srinvasulu , Associate Professor CSE is designated as President of Technopie. Shri G.Sreenivasulu, Associate Professor (CSE) will act as Technical Advisor. 
NIRMAAN Organizes " Student Awakening Programme " In assopciation with Vivekanada Ashram Hyderabad NIRMAAN ( A NGO with JBIET Participation) started new year 2009 auspiciously with a novel idea. It was decided to give a booklet written by Swami Vekananda to all the students and pledge for safty and security of our mother nation. It was named " Vivekananda Yuva Sankalp". VIVEKANANDA YUVA SANKALP: VIVEKANANDA YUVA SANKALP was conducted to spread the ideals of Swami Vivekananda to the youth of the country. In this process to distribute 20,000 books of Swami Vivekananda-His call to the Nation and also to arrange a talk by Swamiji from Ramakrishna Math.
The program started by lighting of the lamp and then Prof.Somayajulu gave brief description about Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Mission. Then Swami Anupamananda began his talk which had every one spellbound. Then Mr.J.V.Krishna Rao spoke a few words. Swamiji distributed the mementoes to the dignitaries and the principals of various colleges under JBES. Then Swamiji along with the other dignitaries distributed the books to the students. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr.Niraj Upadhayaya. There were around 800 enthusiastic students who attended the speech. Highlight of the program was the one hour long talk by swamiji.
Orientation Day Programme (September 24th 2008)
 JBIET organized " Orientation Day" prograame for its First year B.Tech Students on 24th September 2008. This programme is organized to welcome new students and guide them about rules/ regulations prevailing in JBIET. Students were introduced to Important functionaries of JBIET. This programme was organized along with three sister concerns of JBIET namely Joginapally BR Engineering College ( JBREC), Bhaskar Engineering College ( BEC) and MN Rao Engineering College for Women. Dr. Kalanidhi (Former Vice Chancelor, Anna University) was the Chief Guest. Noted Industrialist and Spritual Preacher Mr. Mohan Rao and Software Professional and Secretary NIRMAAN Group ( an NGO working closely with JBIET) Mr. Mayur Patnala were the Guest of Honour. The Programme was presided by the Chairman JB Educational Society , Shri J. Bhaskar Rao Garu and was graced by Secretary JB Educational Society Shri J.V. Krishna Rao. Dr. Kalanidhi discussed in detail the impact of Internet on "Modern Engineering Education" and advised students to take help of Internet in positive way. Mr. Mohan Rao stressed on the need for Spritual Component in higher education. Mr. Mayur invited students to do social work along with their education to help the community. Principals of all the four colleges discussed about facilities & infrastructure offerred to the students in their respective colleges and requested students to utilize it fully. Dr. E.G. Rajan, Principal JBIET talked about the areas in which JBIET is planning to grow further and informed the audience that JBIET has got "No Objection Certificate" from Andhra Pradesh Govt. to get a "Deemed to be University" status. An UGC Inspection is expected very shortly in this regard. The Chairman Shri J. Bhaskar Rao informed students and their parents about the Placements and his commitment for quality education in all the participating Engineering Colleges. Srhi J.V. Krishna Rao welcomed all the students and gave details about road map of future developments at JBIET. Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya (Vice Principal JBIET & Director ( Research)), apprised students with Academic Regulations prevailing in JBIET. Professor R.G. R. dasari ( Director ( Student Welfare & Grievance Cell) talked in detail about various anti ragging steps taken in JBIET and informed the audience that Local Police Station has already declared JBIET as ragging free campus.
